It was a perfectly normal day on the second grade soccer field. Some of my friends were playing. I was the referee because I wasn't good at soccer at that time. My friend Alexis was the goalie. The other team had the ball. Dre, the bully, was on our team. Bob, the striker on the other team, was getting awfully close for Alexis's comfort. He was shy and did not like attention. Bob shot. The ball flew through the air. Alexis Jumped. He tried to catch the ball. It flew through his hands. He fell. And the ball hit the net.
Alexis got up. Dre started to storm towards Alexis. He didn't see what was a bout to hit him. Dre kicked him in the back of the thigh and pushed on the ground. Hard. Dre was about to pull him back up, but Bob had rushed up and put his hands on Dre's chest. He started shouting "Stop!" multiple times. Alexis was getting up, dazed, and trying to find out what had hit him so hard. then he noticed the two boys fighting. A look of realization rushed up on his face and he reddened, embarrassed. I could see it from where I was standing. I turned back and started to run towards Dre and Bob. I wasn't close enough to reach them but someone else did. The teacher on playground duty. She pushed the two boys away from each other and started to scold them. Alexis was feeling guilty about getting Bob in trouble, but I think we had the same thoughts about Dre.
Dre got 3 weeks in detention and Bob had only a day after all the players were interviewed. After the principal heard the story, she sent a not back to Dre's family. I could tell that he was sure taught a lesson after this incident after being a bully for so long. In fact he never bullied anyone again. And after that, I became quite comfortable around him, and we became good friends. So in the end, Although nothing extreme happened to Alexis, we were all winners. Bob gained a reputation as the playground savior, and kept up the good work on the soccer field, All the girls felt bad for Alexis, and was very pampered and popular from that day on. And Dre and I were good friends. Conflict resolved.
